At Sea, December 18

Another nice quiet day, quite warm outside but not such humidity as before and there was a breeze.  We’re still in the Indian Ocean but moving south and I can almost smell the gum trees!!! Yippee!  Time to go home.  A lot of grumbles today, we were told we’re now not going to Thursday Island - don’t know the reason - but I reckon it’s probably a blessing!

Went to the lecture this morning - was on crocodiles, turtles and snakes.

Most of the audience were horrified to hear how dangerous it is in OZ!!!

Sunday brunch was served in the Compass Rose dining room, really beautifully presented food at various stations with plenty of variety. A real opportunity to gorge ourselves with even more food!!! And of course we fronted up for dinner tonight but that was a bit of a fiasco sadly.

Anyway, on with the show which was fabulous - the Sydney guy Danny Elliott starred again, he played about eight instruments and then played piano with Billy Joel’s Piano Man, finishing up with a song from Phantom.

Caught up with the grandchildren on FaceTime this afternoon and with the girls too. Really not much news so I’d better crawl into bed, have another busy day tomorrow doing nothing. 🙂
