Cruising the Laccadive Sea, December 6
Today we are having the first of three sea days, days of R & R. Is gloomy outside and it’s been raining most of the day. Still very hot though, I guess to be expected in monsoon season. Is good to catch up on some reading, mahjong and internet. The lunch seafood buffet by the pool was lovely, not sure how they managed to serve oysters but they did.
At 6 pm there’s a party in the Atrium to celebrate Regent’s 30 years of service.
Back in the suite now after the party, dinner and show! The party was a bit of fun, lots of black and gold balloons, people done up to the nines and others in super casual clothes. Is very interesting to see people all together, we’re certainly a mixed bunch! Those of us going all the way are a bit like a big family now, and every time we get back to the room there is yet another gift waiting for us. Tonight it’s a heavy box containing four lovely coasters - will definitely test the weight limit on our QF flight from Sydney! Had dinner with Dina & Steve, they’re from the US and have a son and daughter in law in Melbourne awaiting their first child.
There’s really no more news and I can’t make anything up as I’m surrounded by water with no land in sight. Slowly moving towards Phuket Thailand.
